Porches add a great deal of character to a home's styling. They also make a home seem welcoming and friendly. Aesthetic appeal aside, they can be very useful as well. By helping to shade a home's interior rooms, they help with energy efficiency. My ideal dream home would have a wraparound porch that traversed at least three sides of the home, if not all four. At the very least, I hope to have a full porch across the front of the home and a porch or deck off the back.
