I think vintage dishes are wonderful! There are so many beautiful patterns to enjoy. There are several ways I use them to decorate my home, but I especially love this wall arrangement I created.
I had recently repainted my dining room the most restful shade of pale, silvery, aqua blue (Benjamin Moore's Palladian Blue) and was ready to start decorating the walls. I wanted to use chocolate brown with the blue and thought that vintage brown transferware would look wonderful against those walls. So, I went to some flea markets and antique shops with my mom looking for brown transferware. Luckily, I found several plates in different sizes, along with some others to fill in. With one of my framed rustic prints, a white shelf, and a few other trinkets, I had the makings of a beautiful display! And the chocolate brown just sings against that wonderful wall paint!
